Torto Shelters was established in New Zealand to address the need for durable, permanent and relocatable shelter solutions designed specifically for the country's harsh and variable climate. Founded in 2007, the company began with a clear vision: to offer cost-effective, engineer-certified fabric shelters that are fast to deploy, modular, and built to last.

Originally focused on construction and industrial site shelters, Torto has since evolved into a global supplier of advanced tensile fabric structures, including CE-certified container- and bunker-mounted systems used in extreme environments such as the Australian Outback.

Proud of our in-house engineering, local manufacturing, and NZ-made quality, Torto now operates from a dedicated facility in the Manawatu region with a multidisciplinary team offering design, fabrication, and full project delivery both domestically and internationally.

Our engineers design specific shelters unique to your requirements, providing full engineering plans, calculations and producer statements. With regional-specific designs available and compliance to AS/NZ 1170.2:2021 standards, we handle high wind loads and snow loads with confidence
